Ozone Sanitizer Is The Most Efficient

Since 1900 ozone has been put into many different uses. Over the past years it was used for treating water such as disinfecting swimming pools, treating sewage plants, cooling towers, spas and water supply systems. As technology is quickly becoming advanced new discoveries are being made including the fact that ozone can be used as a good sanitizer. Ozone sanitizer is being applied in processing industries and processes. It is being used for sanitization in various processes such as packaging materials, raw materials, irrigation water and recycled water.

Prior to 1997, it could not be used for purification and sanitization of packed drinking water in many nations including U. S. However as technology has advanced it can now be used for both purposes today. In 1997 May, during an assembly by experts in U. S it was declared a safe for use in food processing. Since that meeting various wineries have embraced component as a safe product. Research of the trend shows that it has been documented and accepted by many to be effective in tank cleaning and sanitation, barrel cleaning and sanitation, general surface sanitation and cleaning place systems.

Increased trend of acceptance and use has been evident in other industries. Some of these industries include: meat processing facilities, produce storage facilities, fresh cut product processing and like stated above it has found its way in beverage industry and bottled water. In most of these industries ozone systems are fixed in place or permanently mounted. This feature makes ozone monitoring and management of all off-gas relatively easy hence ensuring safety.

Every industry works to ensure they use the gas safely. In wine industries ozone systems are not fixed permanently. The systems are mobile and have multiple operators in various locations. This arrangement increases safety and makes management easier. The whole systems is simplified making it easy to operate and reliable.

The most recent study in this field was an experiment that was carried out in the University of Polytechnic State. The purpose of the experiment was to determine if the gas is an effective environmental sanitizer. The experiment was based in a fruit plant in food department.

There were several conclusions that were drawn from the results. It was observed that spray wash is the most effective form of application in eliminating microorganisms. The main conclusion was that the gas is effective in environmental sanitization. However the efficiency of the gas depends on the form in which the gas is sprayed.

The component oxidizes all microorganisms in solution. This is the major advantage of ozone. It was noted that every time a surface is spray washed microbes get killed before they can escape through the drainage. It should be noted if a surface is spray washed on a daily basis a big percentage microbes are killed.

The component is viewed as the most advantageous product among other chemicals. This is because it does not require special handling, storage or mixing considerations. Some people consider the fact it does not leave behind a sanitizing residue like a disadvantage. It should be noted that if a sanitizing residual is required there are several chemicals that can accomplish that.
